The RallyCore

Your Chapter’s RallyTeam includes the Buddies, RallyPartners, and all other volunteers who make RallyCap Sports happen. There are key roles that we refer to as the RallyCore, as they will provide support to the Director in the planning and execution of all RallyChapter initiatives.

Your RallyCore positions should be filled prior to your RallyCap Kickoff—as you will need a strong team in place to get things underway. The roles listed below are mandatory positions to be filled in order to qualify as an active RallyChapter; having these required roles in place are to help ensure your RallyChapter’s success. Subsidiary roles are recommended, and additional positions may be created to suit the needs of your growing chapter. Interested committee Chairs must submit a completed Chair Application to the Director, who will review with the RallyAdvisor.

Your RallyCore is the leadership team that will plan, promote, and execute events. Not only will your involvement have deep impact on your community, but you will also tap into the RallyCap network and develop leadership, communication, and social skills—total resumé builder!

Other RallyCore Members

If a general member shows a high level of dedication but they are not interested in being as involved as a Chair Core member, creating committees can be an engaging and unique way to help the Core team with projects and initiatives. Committees help ensure that all members feel involved as valued members of your RallyChapter.

You should follow these guidelines when adding committee members to your Core:

  • Committees should only be added after all required Chair Core positions are filled
  • Committees should be kept to no more than five members
  • A committee should be made up of current RallyTeam members who do not have a Chair Core position
  • A committee should report directly to the Core Chair they are assisting
  • Committees may be asked to join Core meetings at the discretion of the Director

To add a committee member, a RallyCore member should ask the Director and present a specific reason. If it is determined that a committee is needed, your Core should identify general members who would make a good fit for the committee team. The Core Chair member who will lead the committee should then reach out to these members to organize a meeting and begin working as a team to fulfill the initiative. Your Core may also advertise the opportunity to join a committee during a PepRally, through email or other communication outlets. Here are a few examples of initiatives that a committee might be needed for:

  • Planning a fundraiser
  • Planning a RallyTeam activity
  • Recruiting RallyPlayers for a Sport Season, Kickoff or WrapUp
  • Planning a dance or party

Committees help ensure that all members feel involved as valued parts of your RallyChapter – they can be a big help!
